COILED CONDENSER WITH REMOVABLE HOSE CONNECTION

A?condenser?is a key component for setting up a distillation or a reflux apparatus,the cooling performance of a condenser is decided by the coolant surface,the larger cooling surface,the better cooling performance.The coiled condenser consists of an inner coil surrounded by an outer jacket tube,the inner coil connects the hose connections for coolant liquid in and out at top and bottom while the vapor condenses inside the outer tube.Comparing to the graham condenser which has an inner spiral coil running the length of the condenser serving as the vapor–condensate path and the outer tube through which the coolant flows,the typical coiled condenser has a larger cooling surface and don’t have the drawback of graham condenser which is usually only suitable in vertical?position. This coil style condenser can be used both in the reflux and distillation apparatus,in a reflux setup,it is more efficient than a graham condenser,liebig condenser,allihn condenser,west condenser and used with round bottom boiling flask, drying tube, separatory funnel or additional funnel.In a distillation apparatus,it is usually used to connect a boiling flask through a three way distillation adapter and a receiving flask through a take-off adapter. It is designed with standard taper joint at top and bottom,and two glass hose connections or removable hose connections connecting the spiral coil inside through which coolant flows,the lower hose used for coolant inlet,and the higher hose used for coolant outlet. Made of high quality borosilicate glass 3.3 having very low?coefficients of thermal expansion for resistance to heat, and a very high resistance to chemical attack.Annealed at 800 degree Celsius ,can be heated directly in an open flame and can withstand typical laboratory thermal variations in Chemistry processes like heating and cooling.
