- DESIGN----This is a double-bank manifold for use with vacuum and inert gas.One bank is connected to a source of purified inert gas vented through a oil bubbler .The other bank is connected to a vacuum pump.With 4mm double oblique,high vacuum solid glass stopcocks on the ports allows vacuum or inert gas to be selected without the need for placing the reaction flasks or tubes on a separate line.There are hose connects on the vacuum/gas banks and the reaction lines.
- USE------Vacuum/gas manifold is the key component of the schlenk line which is a commonly chemistry apparatus used to manipulate moisture-and air-sensitive compounds with vacuum and inert gas in organic, inorganic and bioorganic chemistry.In a schlenk line, a gas bubber is attached to the outlet end of the inert gas line,a cold trap is placed in between the manifold and the vacuum trap.The reaction lines are attached to reaction flasks or tubes via heavy-wall rubber tubing.
- DIMENSIONS----This double vacuum gas manifold is designed with 4mm double oblique,high vacuum solid glass stopcocks precision ground with corresponding numbers on barrel and plug.Both inert gas and vaccum banks are made from 22mm medium wall tubing and have Front-Left-Right &Rear-Left Hose Opens.It is designed with 4 ports which are spaced 100mm center to center and the hose connections have an O.D.of 10mm at the largest serration.The overall width is 450mm.
