A liebig condenser can be both used in a reflux and a distillation apparatus.In the reflux apparatus, the lower inner joint will be inserted into a round bottom flask which contains the mixture liquid,the upper outer joint may attach a dry tube to prevent atmospheric moisture from entering a reaction system.In the distillation apparatus,the liebig condenser is placed obliquely between a distillation flask and a receiving flask, a three way thermometer adapter and a take off adpater are used to connect them.
