This flow control adapter is used to control or regulate the flow of gases into a reaction system. For example, for reflux performed under an inert atmosphere, this adapter can be placed at the top of the reflux condenser and connected to the inert gas supply system .Also it can be used with single-neck flasks in order to pull a vacuum on the system. And if placed on multi-neck flasks, this adapter is connected to an inert gas supply to permit counterflow operations at the other necks.
